My mother is Korean (this is relevant I promise) and thus is always pushing absurd products on me. Soon after the black bean soy milk phase, she started sending flower flavored gum in care packages and other seemingly useless things. Come to find out not only is her flower gum popular, but I rounded up a few other cool flower candy products for you. Don't be afraid to weigh in and admit if you'd actually eat this or have and lived to tell about it.
Fuwarinka Scented Gum:
You could literally smell like a bed of roses, or citrus or um, rose menthol. Not only will your mouth get to chomp on this flowery gum but all your friends can enjoy it right along with you since this gum changes your body odor. The geranoil and linalool oils supposedly get rid of bad body odors by releasing scented compounds through the skin.
C. Howard’s Violet Gum:
I was tempted to review choclate covered violets or violet pastilles but once I hit Economy Candy on the lower east side, a veritable warehouse of assorted candy from vintage to foreign...I could not pass these up. At less than a dollar pack, your breath won’t have to smell unbearably cinnamon-y or spearmint-y. Next time you hit a board meeting someone should be wondering where that deliciously subtly violet-like smell is wafting from. *sigh* here’s to hoping. Candiflor:
Mmm just the thought of candied flowers makes my mouth water. Maybe it's a product of growing up with it as a snack in the house but these snacks are uniquely delicious.
